The Swedish series "Åremorden", which will be released on Netflix on February 6, 2025, draws attention as a Scandinavian detective story set in the beautiful Swedish town of Åre. The series is based on two books from the novel series of the same name by Viveca Sten, "Hidden in Snow" and "Hidden in the Shadows". The series is known internationally as The Åre Murders.

The Åre Murder Plot

The series follows the story of detective Hanna Ahlander. Hanna is suspended from her job in Stockholm and moves to her sister’s holiday home in Åre due to personal problems. When a young woman disappears during the annual St. Lucia Day celebrations, Hanna takes up the case. She is forced to work with local police officer Daniel Lindskog, and in the process, the question of whether they can trust each other comes to the fore.

Cast

Carla Sehn plays the lead role in the series. Other notable cast members include Charlie Gustafsson, Francisco Sobrado, Amalia Holm, Frida Argento, Agnes Kittelsen, Jon Øigarden, Robin Stegmar, Olle Sarri, Samuel Astor, and Moa Gammel.
