The story revolves around Nica, who lives through a tragic upbringing in a gloomy orphanage, under the supervision of a cruel lady who inflicts suffering on everyone.

To escape this harsh reality, Nica invents fanciful stories about the Tearsmith, a supernatural being responsible for manifesting the fears and anxieties in our hearts.

A glimmer of hope emerges when Nica is adopted, but her new family has also taken in another orphan, Rigel, a mysterious and troubled soul. Nica struggles with conflicting feelings about Rigel, who will ultimately play a crucial role in shaping her future.
